Claudio Ranieri, the former Italian manager who led Inter Milan to their first Serie A title in over 16 years in 2018, is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in recent football history. He has had a significant impact on the club and its players, with his innovative tactics and tactical acumen helping to turn Inter into a force to be reckoned with once again.
One of Ranieri's most notable contributions to Inter was his ability to develop young talent. He recognized that the future of the team lay in developing young players and he did so by investing heavily in youth development programs. This helped to create a rich vein of talent within the club, which has since blossomed under the guidance of current coach Antonio Conte.
Ranieri's impact on the team extends beyond just the development of young talent, however. Under his management, Inter Milan became known for their strong pressing game,Premier League Frontline which saw them dominate possession and control the tempo of matches. This approach allowed them to create numerous chances for their attackers and ultimately lead to some of the best attacking football seen in Italy in recent years.
One of the key players under Ranieri's management was playmaker Radamel Falcao, who scored a record-breaking 45 goals in all competitions during his time at the San Siro. Falcao's partnership with the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku was instrumental in Inter's success, and it is no surprise that they were named Serie A Player of the Year in 2017.
Despite his departure from Inter in 2019, Ranieri's legacy continues to live on. His impact on the club and its players cannot be overstated, and his influence can still be felt throughout the squad today. It will be interesting to see how his successor, Antonio Conte, builds upon his work and takes Inter Milan forward in the coming seasons.
